White Bean Chicken Chili

My mother-in-law gave me this award winning recipe to try and it was amazing! Very easy to make and very tasty.

1 lb. Chicken, shredded **You can use the rotisserie chicken and shred it, or season a couple breasts and fry with butter in a pan.
1 medium onion, diced
2 tsp garlic powder
2 15 oz. cans White Bean ( David and I learned this is a general term, the Great Northern Bean or Navy Beans are considered white beans.)
14 oz. chicken broth
1 large can of diced green chili's (Ortega)
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground oregano (NOT the flakes!)
1/4 tsp pepper
1 c. sour cream
1/2 c. heavy cream

It has a tiny bite to it, but is not too spicy. In a small pan, add 1 tblsp of oil, saute the onion and garlic powder and set aside. In a stock pot, add the chicken broth, drained beans, diced chili's, salt, cumin, oregano and pepper, and add in the sauteed onions. Simmer for 30 minutes uncovered. Add the sour cream and heavy cream, mix and serve.

This recipe makes a good amount, enough to feed 4-5 people.
